Whether you’re a new Mum, an experienced Mum or a Grandmother it can be tough to find time to exercise and to focus on your own health and wellbeing. So, we wanted to let you know how and why Pilates can be the perfect exercise for Mums.

Each of our 55 minute Pilates classes will create some ‘Me’ time to concentrate solely on yourself and your body, forgetting everything else that you have to do while getting an amazing workout. The environment we create is completely stress-free so although you will be working hard and challenging your body you can completely switch off your mind and focus on your own health and well-being, plus you’ll also have a great opportunity to interact and have fun with some other Mums and ladies doing the same.

Pilates is a fantastic form of exercise with a multitude of benefits, and by taking part in our Pilates classes you will improve your posture, become more flexible and strengthen & tone your muscles. During each Pilates exercise you will always be working your core muscles with particular focus on your abs and bum, so Pilates will help you flatten your tummy and tighten your tushey! Plus if you’re a new Mum and want to get back in shape post pregnancy, this extra focus on your core muscles is essential to regaining your shape and correcting your posture. Using the state of the art Reformer Beds you will work all muscles groups, giving a complete full-body workout, with minimal impact to joints. So after each class, you are guaranteed to feel taller and more aware of your body, helping to maintain a healthy spine in particular. Pilates will also be of great benefit to help any current issues such as lower back pain and other various injuries.

We all know and are always told about the physical benefits of exercise, but what doesn’t often get mentioned is the psychological benefits. When exercising your brain will stimulate the release of endorphins, also known as the happy hormones, so after attending a Pilates class you will leave feeling happier, calmer and in a positive state of mind.
