Leg Reaches is a very simple yet very effective exercise that you can practice easily at home. It’s the perfect exercise to really challenge your tummy muscles making them stronger and more toned, it is also a great exercise to help improve some of the fundamental Pilates techniques such as drawing your abdomen in & maintaining a neutral spine.
– Press your lower spine into the floor and maintain this throughout the movement.
– Draw your abdomen inwards to prevent a ‘doming’ of the tummy.
– Stop extending the leg as soon as you feel your lower spine lift away from the floor.
