Sara has been involved in the health and fitness industry for over 12 years. She began her career working as a fitness instructor and continued to further her qualifications in personal training and sports massage. Sara then went on to get a BSc Honours Degree in Sports Rehabilitation, which is the treatment of musculoskeletal injuries.
Sara has had the opportunity to work in sports injury clinics where she dealt with not only sports injuries but people of all ages with various musculoskeletal complaints such as back pain, arthritis, occupational injuries and pain from postural deformities. Sara also completed an internship in a University in Philidelphia where she was responsible for dealing with the injuries of athletes from various sports teams. As a therapist Sara treats pain and injury with various manual therapy techniques including dry needling and tailored home exercise prescriptions.
Sara has been a reformer Pilates instructor at Chilli Pilates since 2015 and feels that Pilates can improve the physical well being of every individual from athletes who want to improve their performance through challenging and strengthening exercise to those who want to improve posture, mobility and body shape. She feels that it’s a safe and controlled environment for beginners or those recovering from injury/surgery. Sara strives to get each individual moving to their optimal ability.
